From August 28 to September 8, CIE brought the registration and entrance education for international students of year 2016 to a successful close, ushering in a brand-new life for students of various races and speakers of different languages in ECUST.

With due attention to the registration and entrance education, the CIE prepared the students with welcome packages including the customer-tailored Guide for International Students Enrolled in 2016 and gifts with CIElogos on them. CIE launched activities like an opening ceremony and sightseeing in order to help students adjust themselves to the new environment. In addition, CIE also invited staff from the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Shanghai, officers from the Public Security Sub-Bureau of Shanghai and the head of ECUST security office to deliver lectures concerning visa policies, Chinese laws as well as campus security.

Up to September 12, 252 international students from 57 countries have registered in ECUST.
